Job summary

CareTech’s Greenfields Children’s Service in Ross-on-Wye is seeking a Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care for children and young people. The role includes working 2 on 4 off, with sleep-ins, and a base salary plus sleep-in allowances.

Salary ranges from £32,730.80 to £35,226.80 per year with sleep-ins included. A full driving licence is essential and a QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is preferred. Driving and transport required.

Qualifications

• Hold a full driving licence and be able to drive to work locations.
• Be able to work a 2 on, 4 off pattern (8am–10pm including sleep nights).
• Experience in a similar healthcare/care setting preferred.
• QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential support to children and young people in a safe environment.
• Assist with daily living activities and participate in planned activities.

Job description

Role: Residential Support Worker

Location: Ross on Wye

Salary

£32,730.80 - £35,226.80 per year (includes base salary + estimated sleep-in allowances)

Base Salary: £27,060.80 (unqualified) - £29,556.80 (qualified)

(Hourly rate: £13.01 - £14.21)

Plus £67.50 per sleep-in. Based on an average of 7 sleep-ins per month, you will top up your earnings by £5670 annually.

Full-Time permanent role. 2 days on, 4 days off - great work/life balance | Sleep-ins included (6-8 a month)

Driving licence and own transport essential.

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our team, who shares the same values as we do. Our Residential Support Workers receive specialist training in respect of early trauma, CSE, HSB, and Children's rights and participation. We work to a multi-disciplinary approach with clear measurable outcome.

Essential
