Job summary

The Avenues Trust Group in Rainham, Kent, is seeking a friendly Support Worker to join a small team and assist a young male with learning disabilities.

You will work 39 hours per week across early and late shifts, with occasional nights, and full UK driving license is required.

No prior social care experience is essential as we provide accredited training, and enhanced DBS is included.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • Experience in social care not essential; training provided.
  • Background in care or support roles is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support our person with day-to-day living activities and community engagement.
  • Assist with managing finances and household tasks.
  • Provide personal care when needed and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
  • Support involvement in activities and outings with peers and family.

Support Worker - Full Time 39 Hours

Rainham, Kent

£25,845 per annum + £1,800 per annum on completion of probation & assessment

Shift patterns - 7am-2:15pm, 2pm-9:15pm and occasional waking nights 9pm-7:15am

Full UK Driving license required and access to own vehicle due to the nature of the role and location of our services.

We are looking for experienced Support Workers to work with us in Rainham, Medway (Kent), where you will be supporting a young male who is a very active and outgoing individual with learning disabilities, Pica and behaviours that challenge. He enjoys going swimming, listen to music, going for meals out, and visits to theme parks and much more! You will be working in a small team of 8 support staff.
