Job summary

The Avenues Trust Group is recruiting a Support Worker in Birchington, Kent, to provide care for three adult brothers with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviour. Role includes supporting daily living and social integration in the local community.

Successful candidates should be proactive, quick-thinking and enthusiastic about empowering individuals across personal life aspects, with a seven-day rota and on-site location.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work a variety of shifts across a seven-day rota.
• Driver preferred due to location of the service and needs of the people supported.
• Experience in social care or working with adults with learning disabilities/autism is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals to engage in daily living activities, including full participation in their local community and beyond.
• Facilitating social activities and maintaining connections with family and friends.
• Assisting with financial management.
• Maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment and undertaking shopping duties.

Support Worker

Location: Birchington, Kent
Salary: £25,845 per annum (pro rata) + £1200 Complexity Payment per annum (pro rata)
Hours: Full-time opportunities available

You’ll need to be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and sleep-ins across a seven-day rota. Drivers are also preferred due to the location of the service and the needs of the people we are supporting.

We are recruiting Support Workers to join our team in Birchington, providing care for three adult brothers with learning disabilities, autism, and complex challenging behaviours.

Successful candidates will demonstrate quick thinking, proactivity, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting individuals across all aspects of their personal lives.
