Job summary

Cygnet Taunton is recruiting Support Workers to join a mental health inpatient team. You will work 38.5 hours per week in a setting with service users, providing physical and emotional support, guidance, and compassionate care.

We offer learning opportunities through apprenticeships, flexible scheduling with overtime, regular coaching and supervision, and wellbeing resources. DBS check is required; shifts include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience or desire to work in mental health settings.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with service users.
• Good communication with colleagues and supervisors.
• DBS check required prior to starting work.

We are looking for Support Workers to join our team at Cygnet Taunton.

Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides acute inpatient admissions service for men and women and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability. In addition a new neuro cognitive service line for men, coming soon.

Your Day-to-Day

£13.45 per hour

You’ll be working 38.5 hours a week in mental health setting with mental health service users.

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients & residents
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all
