Would you like a rewarding role in which you can support a client one-to-one in their own home?

Main duties of the job

Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care. Within the Care in the Home division, we support clients with complex care to live independently in their own homes. We'd like you to join us as a Live-out Support Worker to support our brand new female client who lives in Northallerton.

About us

Active Care Group are a pioneering national provider of complex care services, delivering pathways and better outcomes for people. We have a collaborative and holistic approach to care underpinned by proven clinical and therapeutic expertise. We specialise in supporting young people and adults with complex needs to make positive progress and lead happier, more independent lives.

Job responsibilities

Meet the client:

Looking for a care team to support me in my brand new home. I would get on well with someone who is chatty and outgoing, who likes to have a laugh. I like to go out in my mobility car, even if this is for a drive to the coast and an ice cream. I would like a support worker who respects my home and who is willing to build a trusting working relationship.

What you'll be doing:

This role is to support our brand new female client in her own home for night shifts, who has suffered a spinal cord injury. The client requires support with moving and handling, personal care and hygiene, peg feeds, cough assist, and NIV. Full clinical training will be provided.

A double-up team will be supporting at periods throughout the day to assist at key times while the client regains physical strength.

You will be required to drive our client's vehicle. Therefore, you must hold a full UK driver's licence.

When you'll be working:

  • We are looking for a regular team to work permanently with our client.
  • Monday - Sunday available.
  • Full-time or part-time available.

What to look forward to:

  • £12.50 per hour.
  • Full specialist training.
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme.
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1500 by recommending someone you know.
  • ……and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group.

*Please note we are recruiting Female Support Workers due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support; therefore, this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.
