Are you a warm, caring individual with a passion for making a positive difference in someone’s life?

Do you possess resilience, patience, and a positive attitude?

Do you have experience supporting individuals with a learning disability in their home and community?

If so, we’re looking for someone just like you to join our team as a Support Worker/Personal Assistant.

About the Role:

I am seeking a kind, caring, and experienced individual to support my son, who is in his early 30s.

He enjoys trips in the car, outings to the countryside, and activities involving green spaces and autism-friendly environments tailored to his sensory needs.

He also likes visiting local cafés for coffee and cake, going to the seaside, and engaging with the community. He can walk short distances and uses a wheelchair as needed for comfort and safety.

Your role involves supporting all aspects of his care, recognizing his needs, and providing guidance, reassurance, and supervision to ensure his safety both at home and in the community.

He can become overwhelmed by large crowds and certain sensory stimuli, which you will learn to identify and manage to prevent triggers.

This position involves working as part of a team on a 2:1 basis and occasionally 1:1.

You must be physically fit for this role.
