Job summary

Priority Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a young client in Heybridge, Maldon. The role involves in-home care for a client with complex conditions, including epilepsy and cerebral palsy, with daytime and waking-night shifts.

The position offers above-market pay, ongoing learning opportunities, and access to a wide range of online courses, plus a refer-a-friend scheme. Ideal candidates are empathetic, patient, and comfortable with PEG feeding and tracheostomy care.

Qualifications

• Must have a UK driving license (manual or automatic).
• Experience in complex care settings helpful but not required.
• Nonverbal communication support is part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Support a young boy with complex conditions including epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
• Provide home-based support including PEG feeding, tracheostomy care and suctioning.
• Assist with appointments, social activities and daily routines.

Company and Role:

• Supporting a young boy with complex physical conditions including epilepsy and cerebral palsy
• home based support package including non-verbal communication , PEG feeding, tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Supporting with appointments, social activities and daily routines including horse racing and rugby club

Successful Applicant:

• Previous experience working with adults with complex conditions (e.g. brain injury, cerebral palsy, epilepsy)
• Confident with PEG feeding and tracheostomy care (or willing to undertake training)
• Excellent communication skills as our client is nonverbal
