Job summary

Priority Recruitment is seeking a Support Worker in the Heybridge/Maldon area to provide compassionate care for a young client with complex medical needs. The role involves driving to client locations and delivering home-based support, including nonverbal communication, PEG feeding, tracheostomy care and suctioning.

The position requires a UK driving license and prior experience with cerebral palsy or epilepsy.

Qualifications

• Must have UK driving license.
• Experience with adults with complex conditions (e.g. epilepsy, cerebral palsy).
• Able to communicate with nonverbal clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based support for a nonverbal client with complex needs.
• Assist with PEG feeding and tracheostomy care.
• Support with appointments, social activities and daily routines including activities like horse racing and rugby club.

Job Title: Support Worker

Pay rate: £16.51 - £17.64 PAYE

Job Type: 24 hours per week (days and waking nights)

Must: Drive (UK licence - manual or automatic)

• Supporting a young boy with complex physical conditions including epilepsy and cerebral palsy
• home based support package including non-verbal communication , PEG feeding, tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Supporting with appointments, social activities and daily routines including horse racing and rugby club

Successful Applicant

• Previous experience working with adults with complex conditions (e.g. brain injury, cerebral palsy, epilepsy)
• Confident with PEG feeding and tracheostomy care (or willing to undertake training)
• Excellent communication skills as our client is nonverbal
