Leo Recruits is seeking a compassionate care assistant in the United Kingdom to provide person-centred support with daily living activities and personal care for individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities. You will administer medications safely and follow organisational policies.

You will work as part of a team, promoting independence, dignity and social inclusion, and you will maintain accurate records while adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care preferred.
• Ability to follow safeguarding and infection-control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support with daily living activities and personal care.
• Support individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
• Administer medication safely in accordance with prescribed instructions, training and organisational policies.
• Assist with meals, mobility, hygiene and daily routines as required.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and social inclusion.
• Monitor and report changes in individuals' health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and medication administration records.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and confidentiality procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Right to Work (RTW) in the UK.
• Care Certificate.
• Mental Health Awareness training/certificate.
• Learning Disabilities Awareness training/certificate.
• Medication Administration training/certificate and proven competency.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with the Update Service subscription.
• Previous experience in a relevant health and social care role is preferred.
• Good communication skills and a compassionate, professional attitude.
