Job summary

PSR Solutions is recruiting an experienced Support Worker for a care home on the outskirts of Lockerbie. The role offers 22-44 hours per week with 12-hour day or night shifts, and a competitive hourly rate of £13.45.

You will deliver person-centred support to residents, working with the Home Manager and team to maintain residents’ independence and dignity. Full eligibility to work in the UK applies; sponsorship is not available. The position also includes on-site parking and benefits.

A care home on the outskirts of Lockerbie is currently looking to recruit an experienced Support Worker to join their team on a permanent basis.

Details of this Support Worker vacancy and what the successful candidate can expect to receive:

• Permanent contract working 22-44 hours per week
• 12-hour day or night shifts available:
  • Day shifts: 8am-8pm
  • Night shifts: 8pm-8am
• Competitive hourly pay rate of £13.45 per hour, with the potential to earn up to £30,773.60 per year

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to residents, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life. You will work closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Senior Carers to ensure residents receive a high standard of care and support.

What we are looking for in a Support Worker:

• A caring, compassionate and empathetic nature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to providing high‑quality support
• Previous experience working in a care or support setting is preferred
• A Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care would be advantageous but is not essential
• A genuine desire to support and make a positive difference to people's lives
• Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship or visa switch available)
