Job summary

Priority Childcare, part of Orbis Education and Care, is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for Blaen Y Waun in Carmarthenshire. This full-time role is 39 hours per week with sleep-ins and a driver’s license is essential.

You will support adults with emotional, social and physical needs, encourage independence, and help with activities and daily living tasks. Full training provided and Enhanced DBS required.

Qualifications

• A compassionate, resilient, and caring nature.
• A valid driving licence (essential).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous care experience is helpful but not essential. Full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with emotional, social, and physical needs in a safe, caring environment.
• Act as a positive role model, encouraging independence and personal development.
• Assist with social, leisure, educational and community activities.
• Tailor support to individual needs and person-centred plans.
• Record progress, activities, and incidents clearly and accurately.
• Assist with meals, household tasks and developing living skills.
• Support at Ty Canol, the second home nearby.

About The Role

Support Worker - Blaen Y Waun, Carmarthenshire

Full Time – 39 hours per week plus sleep-ins
£13.45 - £13.75 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications (plus £57 per sleep-in)

• Supporting adults with their emotional, social, and physical needs in a safe, caring environment.

• Supporting at Ty Canol, the second home of Blaen Y Waun, located just a few minutes away.
