Job summary

Potens Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Larwood House in Kirkby in Ashfield. You will assist adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, support daily living tasks, and help residents engage in meaningful activities.

The role requires flexibility for early shifts and sleep-in duties; DBS checks and safeguarding are standard, with opportunities for Care Certificate training and NVQ progression. Be part of a national provider making a real difference.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or supporting people with learning disabilities is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including early mornings and nights.
• NVQ Health & Social Care levels 2–5 are recognised qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities and interests of the people supported.
• Attend to individual needs of the people supported.
• Assist with cooking, cleaning and everyday tasks.
• Help increase confidence and daily living skills.
• Provide personal care as required.
• Offer one-to-one support.

Larwood House, located in Kirkby in Ashfield, is a registered residential care home for up to 9 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

• 35 hours per week. Shifts will include 7: 00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and waking nights 9:00 pm to 7:00 am. Sleep-in shifts may also be required, 9:00 pm to 7:00 am. Will involve weekend and Bank holiday working.
