Job summary

Potens is seeking a Care Support Worker at Bourne Bridge House, South Molton. The role supports young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in a residential setting, with a rural, supportive environment.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and flexible shift patterns. A full driving licence and vehicle are required due to location and service needs. No prior care experience is necessary as training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support people across activities such as swimming, cinema, theatre, outdoor pursuits, forest school, and day-to-day tasks like shopping and accompanying on outings.
• Maintain a homely environment with encouragement, education, and stimulation as core to care.
• Encourage choice and involvement in daily activities.
• Take part in chosen activities with residents to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Personal care will be involved.

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Care Support Worker.

All applicants must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence and have their own vehicle due to the location and the needs of the service.

Bourne Bridge House, South Molton is set in six acres of land, giving us a beautiful working environment and great surroundings. This is a residential service where we support young adults with learning disabilities and or autism.

What we'll give you:

We will ensure you are rewarded for all your hard work, which is why we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:

• £13.35 per hour weekdays and £13.60 at weekends.
• Fuel allowance, £50 per month for full time staff and £25 per month for part time staff.
• Full time 40 hours per week, however we can also consider part time or bank hours.
• Flexible shift patterns available to promote work/home life balance - shifts can be discussed at interview. Sleep‑ins and waking nights may be required.

• We support people across a range of activities that can include swimming, cinema, theatre, outdoor pursuits, forest school, and day to day tasks such as shopping a visit to the pub or even accompanying them on holiday.
• Our main aim is to provide a homely environment for people with learning disabilities in which continuous encouragement, education, and stimulation are at the core element of supporting the people that live here with us at Bourne Bridge House.
