Job summary

Partners in Support is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Hemel Hempstead to help adults with learning disabilities and autism live life their way. The role offers flexible hours including some evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with training and ongoing supervision to ensure you feel supported and valued.

No prior social care experience is required as full training will be provided; you will join a compassionate, values-led team committed to dignity and respect. Permanent contract available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to empower people and support independence.
• Approach to care with kindness, respect and patience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on sleep‑ins.
• Driver licence (UK) preferred.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide emotional and practical support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to live life their way.

You’ll support people to build confidence, develop independence, learn new skills, access their community by taking part in activities, and do the things that matter most to them. No two days are the same, so if you enjoy variety and want a rewarding role where you can make a real difference, this could be the perfect opportunity.

We’re committed to supporting our colleagues through regular check-ins, supervision, training, and ongoing communication, so you’ll feel supported both personally and professionally.
