Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Southampton. You will provide person-centred support with daily living activities, including moving and handling, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and attending medical appointments in a home setting.

Sleep-in shifts are a requirement, and a full UK manual driving licence is highly desirable. You will support adults who may display challenging behaviours and will receive extensive training and benefits as part of a

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred daily living support: moving and handling, personal care, meal prep, medication administration, household tasks, attending medical appointments, and participation in house and team meetings.
• Deliver 1:1 and 2:1 support during mealtimes and community activities.
• Ensure health and safety within the home and adapt communications for non-verbal individuals.

Typical Shifts are: 7:30am - 9:30pm / 7:30am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 9:30pm including some sleep-in shifts.

In this role, you will provide person-centred support with a range of daily living activities, including moving and handling, personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, household tasks, attending medical appointments, key worker sessions, leisure activities, and participation in house and team meetings. A significant aspect of the role involves providing both one-to-one and two-to-one support during mealtimes and while accessing the local community.

We're seeking a compassionate and resilient individual who is confident working independently and committed to delivering high-quality support. You will be comfortable supporting adults who may display verbal or physical behaviours that challenge, and will be able to adapt your communication approach to meet individual needs, including supporting people who are non-verbal.

You will also play an active role in maintaining health and safety within the home. Sleep-in shifts are a requirement of this role and a full UK manual driving licence is highly desirable.
