Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking genuinely caring Support Workers for a residential service in Bursledon–Southampton. You will support people to gain independence, assist with daily living, and help them access their local community.

The role requires a full UK driving license and willingness to drive a 7- and 9-seater vehicle. This is a part-time position with day and evening shifts, and a strong focus on safeguarding and person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and hold a UK manual license, and be happy to drive 7- and 9-seater vehicles.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Must be resilient, flexible and composed in approach, with a genuine caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to gain more independence in daily living.
• Assist with personal care and encourage access to local communities.
• Facilitate participation in activities, socialising, and outings.
• Work as part of a dynamic team to support individuals with varying needs.

Support Worker – Bursledon-Southampton - £13.25 per hour

PART TIME 24 hrs a week working 7:30 am- 3.30 pm and 3pm -10pm

You MUST be be able to drive and hold a UK MANUAL license and happy to drive a 7 and 9 seater car

Our residential service in Bursledon - Southampton is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
