Walsingham Support is a national charity that reinvests every penny into the people and staff it serves. As a Support Worker, you’ll help amazing adults with learning disabilities live life their way, with comprehensive training provided even if you have no prior care experience.

Who this position suits:

This role is for anyone who wants to make a real difference, whatever your age, background, or gender (unless the role is gender specific)

NB: This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under current UK Home Office rules, as it does not meet the required salary or skill level criteria.

Whilst we encourage applications to other roles, candidates who already have a valid right to work in the UK through other immigration routes or permissions must meet the minimum eligibility of having at least two years remaining on your current visa.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Our first step once you have applied, is a brief values evaluation. It highlights the qualities that matter in our work and helps both of us see whether the role is a good fit.

About the Service and role:

5 people live at this home. All have a learning disability and one has downs syndrome. All live in their own room and share other facilities within the home. People we are supporting lead busy lives and are supported with various different parts of their lives in order for each person to be able to live the lives they choose.

The role require staff to work a mixture of early, late and long day shifts throughout the week and cover sleep ins.

The candidate will need to be able to support people within the home with various life skills and also when going out to various places and activities of peoples choosing.

One staff member sleeps in every night from 22:00 to 07:00 and usually work a late before and an early after.

Shifts are a mixture of Early, Late and long days throughout the whole week. Including sleep ins
