Job summary

CareTech Community Services Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker for the Matson, Gloucester service. You will provide person-centered support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, assisting with daily living skills and community access.

The role offers full-time permanent work, a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with training and induction provided to build confidence and independence for service users.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 QCF (Social Care Wales registration)
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Responsibilities

Support Worker

Matson, Gloucester

£12.79 per hour + £78.30 per sleep-in

Permanent | Full Time | 37.5hours per week (rota-based)

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
