CareTech Community Services is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a maternity cover 9-12 month contract in Basildon, Essex. The role involves delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, across a 35-hour rota-based week.
You will work to individual care plans, assist with daily living skills, maintain records, and collaborate with the team to promote independence and wellbeing in a safe, supportive home environment.

Rate: £13.03 per hour
Fixed term Contract | Full-time | 35 hours per week (rota-based)

Glenroyd is a registered residential care service made up of 8 bedrooms all with en-suites, supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
The ground floor and first floor are accessible by stairs. The rooms in the home for communal use are; large, bright and comfortable. There is a T.V and music lounge with ample seating, a dining area/quiet area, fully fitted kitchen a laundry room and a large garden. There are in addition a communal shower/bathroom on the ground floor and a communal bathroom on the first floor. The home also has an office that is located on the first floor.

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
