Job summary

CareTech Community Services Ltd in Gloucester is seeking a Team Leader to manage a support worker team at Gwen Dean House. The role is permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week on a rota and paid £13.79 per hour.

You will lead day-to-day care, support independent living skills, document records, and coordinate activities with a focus on dignity and wellbeing for service users in a person-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a support worker team (12+ months)
• Experience in mental health & learning disabilities environments
• Excellent communication skills and written abilities
• Ability to stay calm under pressure

Responsibilities

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
