Job summary

Orbis Education & Care is seeking compassionate individuals to support adults at Ty Banwen in Wales, helping with daily living, activities, and independence. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and person-centred care.

You'll need a can-do attitude, flexibility for sleep-ins and weekends, and a UK driving licence. Previous care experience is preferred but not essential. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

£13.45 - £13.75 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience, plus sleep-in payments

A Day in the Life of Working at Ty Banwen
  • Ensuring individuals' physical, emotional, and social needs are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Being a positive role model.
  • Promoting independence by supporting a range of activities, hobbies, and community-based opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs and aspirations.
  • Keeping accurate records of activities, progress, and incidents where required.
  • Supporting with general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and daily living tasks.
  • Providing personal care where required, ensuring dignity, respect, and wellbeing at all times.
You'll Need
  • A can-do attitude and resilient nature.
  • Previous care experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A current valid UK driving licence.
  • Compassion and empathy.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility around shift patterns, including sleep-ins and weekends.
  • To be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Right to Work Requirement: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and, where applicable, hold a visa with at least 18 months remaining at the time of application. We cannot accept applications from Student Visa holders or candidates requiring sponsorship or sponsorship transfers. Successful candidates with a time-limited right to work will be employed on a fixed-term contract ending on their visa expiry date.

Please note: This role involves working with vulnerable adults and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
