Job summary

Leonard Cheshire in Crawley, West Sussex, is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to support adults with physical disabilities. You will assist with daily living, personal care, meals, and accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities, while keeping accurate records.

We offer full-time or part-time hours (34.5 per week) with day and night shifts on a rota. Benefits include 28 days holiday, access to pay in advance, Blue Light Card, pension, health plan, DBS

Our Heatherley Service is home to up to 42 adults with physical disabilities. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate: from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.

Your working hours

We are offering full-time hours at 34.5 hours per week, but part-time options are alos available.

You’ll need to be flexible to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota

Typical shifts:

• Days: 7.30am - 7.30pm
• Nights: 7.30pm - 7.30am

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.

For over 75 years, we’ve been supporting disabled people to live, learn, and work as independently as possible. We provide specialist support across residential care, supported living, and respite services for people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, sensory impairments, and learning disabilities.
