Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Female Support Worker for our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Callington. You will assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, promoting independence and life skills while supporting daily routines and healthcare needs.

We provide enhanced DBS, ongoing training with QCF opportunities, pension, and access to discounts and benefits. A full UK driving licence is essential and a probationary period applies.

Please note we require a Female Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Callington provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries We work in partnership with Local Health Professionals such as social workers, community nurses, and specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Person Centred Planning Our staff support each person to create a person-centred plan that tells us how they want to live their life now and in the future. Through a range of communication tools, we ensure that each person is closely involved in the development of their own plan. As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
• REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Manual Driving License + previous experience working with challenging behaviours.
