Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers for our Bursledon-Southampton residential service. You will help people gain independence, support daily living activities, and engage them in local community activities.

Role requires a full UK driving licence and flexibility to work 7:30 am–3:30 pm or 3:00 pm–10:00 pm shifts. We offer enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, overtime uplift, and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and hold a UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Help people to gain more independence in their daily lives within a supportive team.
• Enhance the quality of life of the people we support and assist with personal care.
• Encourage access to local communities, socialising and activities.
• Occasionally accompany people on outings to bars, pubs, cinema, or other activities.
• Support individuals to achieve their goals, such as cooking dinner or going on trips, with patience and resilience.

Support Worker – Bursledon-Southampton - £13.25 per hour

Full time 35 -42 hrs a week working 7:30 am- 3.30 pm and 3pm -10pm

You MUST be be able to drive and hold a UK MANUAL license and happy to drive a 7 and 9 seater car

Our residential service in Bursledon - Southampton is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
