Job summary

The Avenues Trust Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Birchington, Kent. The role involves supporting three adult brothers with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviours, across a seven-day rota. Sleep-ins and early mornings may be required; drivers are preferred due to service location.

• Supporting individuals to engage in daily living activities and participate in local community activities.
• Facilitating social activities and maintaining connections with family and friends.
• Assisting with financial management and budgeting for daily needs.
• Maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment and assisting with shopping.
• Providing and encouraging personal care and dignity in daily routines.
• Demonstrating proactivity, empathy, and enthusiasm in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Support Worker

Location: Birchington, Kent

Hours: Full-time opportunities available

You'll need to be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and sleep-ins across a seven-day rota. Drivers are also preferred due to the location of the service and the needs of the people we are supporting.

We are recruiting Support Workers to join our team in Birchington, providing care for three adult brothers with learning disabilities, autism, and complex challenging behaviours.

Successful candidates will demonstrate quick thinking, proactivity, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting individuals across all aspects of their personal lives.

Whilst no two days are identical, typical responsibilities may include:

• Supporting individuals to engage in daily living activities, including full participation in their local community and beyond.
• Facilitating social activities and maintaining connections with family and friends.

• Maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment and undertaking shopping duties.
