Job summary

Orbis Education and Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Coed Parc House, Port Talbot. The role covers daily living support, personal care, and meaningful activities for adults with autism, in a modern service with self-contained apartments. Shifts include day and waking night schedules, offering flexibility.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. A driver is essential for transporting individuals during activities. DBS with barred list check is part of the role.

AtCoed Parc Housein Cwmavon (near Port Talbot), you’ll be part of a warm, supportive team working in a modern service where every individual has their own self-contained apartment designed around their needs. This is your chance to be part of something special.

As a Support Worker, you will:
  • Support individuals with daily living, personal care, and meaningful activities.
  • Build strong, positive relationships that help individuals grow in confidence.
  • Promote independence and encourage people to make their own choices.
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals.

Bothdayandwaking nightshifts are available, giving you flexibility to balance work and home life.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need experience — just the right attitude. We can teach you the rest.

We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Kind, patient, and compassionate.
  • A great communicator and a good listener.
  • Resilient and able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexible to work a mix of shifts, including some weekends.
  • A driver - essential part of the role where you will take the individuals out on activities.

Please note:

This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check.
