Job summary

Brainkind in Glasgow is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to oversee a small team of support workers, ensuring service users receive consistent, person-centred care within their plans. You will manage rotas, monitor budgets, and uphold policy, quality audits, health and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and internet.
• NVQ / QCF Level 3 HSC or willingness to work towards within 12 months
• Previous experience of working in a care setting
• Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene
• Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, prioritise, plan and organise the workload
• Demonstrating a customer focused approach and a professional attitude
• IT skills including the ability to open and send emails using Outlook, the ability to use MicrosoftOffice and the ability to navigate the internet

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to enhance Brainkind's reputation.
• Provide line management to a designated team of staff within a location or group of locations.
• Undertake reasonable travelling requirements to fulfil duties, including supporting other locations.
• Set and communicate high standards of care and professional conduct within the team.
• Lead and support compliance with Brainkind quality audits.
• Lead and support health and safety duties and report incidents as appropriate.
• Represent Brainkind at meetings, seminars and external events where appropriate.
• Coordinate liaison with local authorities, families, advocates, GPs and safeguarding teams to support service provision.
