Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care is hiring a part-time caregiver in Irvine to support two ladies with a range of activities and mobility needs. The role requires a full UK manual driving licence and involves helping with outings and daily tasks, including wheelchairs and tracking hoists.

Training and funded qualifications are provided. We welcome applicants with no prior experience and will support you every step of the way, including SVQ development and pre-employment checks where applicable.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence and at least one year of driving experience.
• No prior care experience required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support two ladies with daily activities including mobility and using tracking hoists.
• Assist with outings, shopping, theatre and cinema visits, and other activities.
• Help with computers and tablets as needed.
• Provide companionship and help maintain routines.

Our team supports two wonderful ladies who enjoy a wide range of activities, including listening to music, attending discos, trips to the theatre and cinema, shopping, and holidays. Both ladies use wheelchairs, so the role also involves assisting with mobility and using tracking hoists - no two days are ever the same

They both have their own mobility vehicles and love getting out and about, so you'll need a full UK manual driving licence and at least one year's driving experience.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of the ladies, shifts currently fall into patterns of 8.30am - 9pm or 12noon - 9pm, 7 days a week and will include sleepovers and weekends on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift isn't calculated within your contracted hours, so you would be paid £107.60 for any sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
