Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care in Dumbarton is seeking compassionate part-time support workers to help individuals with physical and learning disabilities live full lives in home and community settings.

No experience is required as training will be provided and funded qualifications will be supported. Shifts run weekdays with sleepovers paid where applicable, and a 30-hour week is available.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with physical and learning disabilities to live independently at home and in the community.
• Help with daily routines, cooking, activities, and outings such as days out, gardening, knitting and dance.

Having a full UK manual drivers licence with 1 years experience on the roads would be beneficial for this role but not a deal breaker for the right candidate.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible currently, shifts fall between 9am and 6pm but there may be later finishes depending on the needs and activities of the people we support. We provide a sleepover for the individuals who live within the service. Public holidays and weekends would be a requirement on a rotational basis.

Sleepovers are paid an additional £107.60 each on top of your contracted hours.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
