Job summary

Cornerstone in Irvine is seeking a part-time support worker to assist a young man with an active lifestyle and personal goals. Training is provided, and funded qualifications are available as you work. A UK manual driving licence with at least one year’s experience is required due to mobility needs.

Shifts include sleepovers with an additional £107.60 per sleepover and a supportive team environment. You’ll have access to development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Due to the young man having his own mobility car which he uses often, for this role we will need you to have a full UK manual drivers licence with a years experience on the roads. We would also be looking for a person that is a keen walker and likes to be energetic.

Shift Patterns

We're dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support, so shift patterns will typically start at 9.30am through to 9.30am the next day with a sleepover included. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis. However, this does typically change on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday due to day service commitments for the young man.

The sleepover part of a sleepover shift is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £107.60 for each sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
