Job description

Looking for a role where every day feels worthwhile? We're looking for new colleagues who are starting out, considering a career change, or simply looking for a role that gives more job satisfaction in Irvine, Kilwinning, Saltcoats and Ardrossan. With part-time (16-30 hours per week) opportunities available, you can find something that gives you the ideal work life balance while making a difference.

Our teams and the people we support

You will become part of one of our friendly, welcoming teams who support some amazing individuals with physical and learning disabilities to live their lives to the fullest, both at home and in their community. From cooking and daily routines to arts, crafts, gardening and days out - no two days are ever the same.

About you

No experience? No problem! We'll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way. You'll even gain funded, recognised qualifications as you work.

We want people who are:
  • Kind, positive and up for a challenge
  • Good team players
  • Willing to learn and try new things
  • Ready to make a difference
  • Confident using computers and tablets

Some of the people we support do have their own mobility cars, so it would be great if you are also a driver (with a full UK manual licence), but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidates.

Why you'll love it here
  • You will have a meaningful job doing things that you enjoy - it often doesn't feel like work
  • No uniform - we wear our own casual clothes
  • We fund up to £500 towards driving lessons
  • We reimburse your SSSC registration and PVG fees
  • Access to professional development and career progression opportunities
  • Recommend a colleague bonus scheme
  • Long service awards
  • Access to a 24/7 independent employee assistance helpline
  • 26 days annual leave (rising by 5 days after 5 years) plus 4 paid bank holidays
  • Family friendly leave options, including family, parental, bereavement and special leave
  • Access to lots of discounts, including the cinema, gym memberships, holidays and shopping
Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible, shifts will usually fall into either early shifts or back shifts between 8am and 7pm. Public holidays and weekends would be a requirement on a rotational basis.

Some of the people we support enjoy going on holiday too, so occasionally you may be asked to support this activity which would also involve working a sleepover.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note

If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
