Job summary

TRT Construction Services in Irvine is seeking a friendly, active Support Practitioner on a permanent part‑time basis (16–30 hours per week). You’ll support a young man to enjoy walks, activities and days out, helping him gain independence and achieve his goals.

No experience? No problem—we’ll train you, pay you, and support you every step of the way, with funded qualifications as you work. A UK manual driving licence is required and you should enjoy being out and about.

Shift Patterns

We provide tailored support with shifts typically being from 9:30am to 9.30pm with a sleepover to the next day next day. However, this does change on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday due to day service commitments for the young man. Weekends and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis. As sleepover shifts don't count towards you contracted hours, you would receive an additional payment of £107.60 for every sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
