Job description

Imagine ending each day knowing you made a difference.

Tired of the same routine? Want a job where you can make a real difference every single day? Whether you're starting out or changing careers - we've got a part-time opportunity waiting for you in Airdrie.

Our teams and the people we support

You will join a team supporting a young woman who lives in her family home. She is an outgoing, active individual with a busy schedule, attending a variety of activities and community events throughout the week - no two days are ever the same.

Due to the needs of this service, we will need you to have a full UK manual drivers licence with 1 years experience on the roads. The person is a wheelchair user and uses a hoist for transfers. Applicants should be comfortable and confident assisting with hoist transfers, with training provided.

About you

We want people who are: -
  • Kind, positive and up for a challenge
  • Great team players
  • Willing to learn and try new things
  • Ready to make a difference
  • Confident using computers and tablets
Why you'll love it here
  • You'll have a meaningful job doing things that you enjoy - it often doesn't feel like work
  • No uniform - we wear our own casual clothes
  • We fund up to £500 towards driving lessons
  • We reimburse your SSSC registration and PVG fees
  • Access to professional development and career progression opportunities
  • Recommend a colleague bonus scheme
  • Long service awards
  • Access to a 24/7 independent employee assistance helpline
  • 26 days annual leave (rising by 5 days after 5 years) plus 4 paid bank holidays
  • Family friendly leave options, including family, parental, bereavement and special leave
  • Access to lots of discounts, including the cinema, gym memberships, holidays and shopping

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
