Job description

We require a Support Medical Secretary to join our team, providing administrative and secretarial support to specialties within the Acute Services Medical Directorate.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing secretarial support to medical specialties.
  2. Managing administrative tasks efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven secretarial and administrative experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent audio typist with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of NHS waiting times is desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and NHS systems and processes is an advantage.

Personal Attributes:

  • Flexible and motivated individual.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good English language and communication skills necessary for safe and effective performance.
