Falkirk Council is seeking a dedicated Support for Learning Assistant (Grade E) for the Thistle Wing and Annexe at Kinnaird Primary School. You will support teachers and pupils to boost well-being, engagement and achievement while assisting with pupils with complex healthcare and communication needs.

The role involves working 30 hours per week during term time, Monday to Friday, with a temporary contract ending in June 2027. PVG membership will be required for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with healthcare, language and communication needs.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a school setting.

Falkirk Council are looking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant (Grade E) for the Thistle Wing and Annexe, which is an ASL wing part of Kinnaird Primary School. You will provide support for teachers and pupils to enhance pupil well-being, engagement and achievement. Undertake a range of whole school support activities and pupil support with regard to pupils' complex healthcare needs, language and communication needs, as well as general supervision and safety for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or physical impairment.

Good communication skills are essential and the role will require supporting children with a wide range of needs. You should enjoy working as part of a team.

You will work 30 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday.

The post is temporary until June 2027.

Successful applicants will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
