Job summary

Cadent Gas Ltd. is seeking a Support Engineer to back frontline repair activities across the gas network in the Norwich/Suffolk area. You will work with Team Leaders and field colleagues to support emergency response, repairs and maintenance while upholding safety and compliance.

The role involves practical outdoor work, a 1-in-6 standby rota, and the use of respiratory PPE. A full UK driving licence is essential, with a basic salary of £28,443 during training rising to £30,111 when fully

As our Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting frontline repair activities across our gas network. Based in and around the Norwich/Suffolk area, you'll work closely with a Team Leader and wider operational teams to support emergency response, repairs and network maintenance activities. You'll gain valuable hands‑on experience while helping to protect our infrastructure, support customers and maintain high standards of safety and compliance. As this role requires the use of respiratory protective equipment, you'll need to be clean shaven each day in line with health and safety requirements. The role also includes participation in a 1-in-6 standby rota and associated call‑out responsibilities.
