Job description

Lead Mental Health Support Worker - Farnborough, North Camp

Join our team as a Lead Mental Health Support Worker (Support Coordinator) in Farnborough, North Camp. This permanent, part-time role (30 hours per week) offers a pay rate of £13.62 per hour (£25,838 per annum, pro rata) and great benefits including a Health Cash Plan.

About the role

As a Lead Support Worker, you'll support customers with complex mental health needs to develop skills for independent living in the community. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting adults with primary mental health needs and secondary needs such as substance misuse, physical disability, learning disability, and autism.
  2. Starting your shift with a handover to get updated information about customers and any changes.
  3. Managing your own diary and supporting customers with activities like making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancy, and transitioning to independent accommodation.
  4. Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  5. Engaging in casual chats and catch-ups with customers.
Candidate requirements
  • Passion to support customers in living their best lives with a collaborative approach.
  • Experience in creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues accordingly.
  • Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
  • Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate resilience.
Additional information

Due to current sponsorship limitations, we cannot offer sponsorship to external candidates. Our team, led by Manager Jay at Buller Court, is passionate and supportive. Flexibility in working hours is required, including earlies, lates, weekends, and bank holidays. An Enhanced DBS check is necessary, which we will pay for.
