Job summary

Connex Education is seeking Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Alvaston, Allenton, Chellaston and the wider DE24 area. You will work with EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils, providing one-to-one and small-group support and helping maintain a positive learning environment.

Opportunities include flexible full-time, part-time, day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements with weekly PAYE pay and access to CPD training. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Ability to support pupils individually and in small groups.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, professional approach.
• Reliable and flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to different school environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

About the Role

Connex Education is currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Alvaston, Allenton, Chellaston and the wider DE24 area.

The new academic year is now underway and we are continuing to see demand from local primary schools for reliable Teaching Assistants who can provide flexible classroom support.

Whether you’re looking for regular full-time work, a few days each week or flexible day-to-day supply, we have a range of opportunities available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside class teachers to support pupils, encourage engagement and help create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Person Specification

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Recent experience supporting children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

• A reliable and flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to different school environments.
