Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville and the wider DE11 area from September 2026. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available.

You will assist pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working alongside class teachers to create positive learning environments, build pupils' confidence and help them achieve their potential. Weekly PAYE payments of £450-£500 are offered with ongoing local support.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

About the Role

Connex Education is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville and the wider DE11 area from September 2026.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working alongside class teachers to create positive learning environments, build pupils' confidence and help them achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson activities and daily classroom routines.

Assignment Details

Person Specification

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or a similar educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, patient approach.
• A reliable, flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to different school environments.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
