Job summary

Connex Education is seeking Supply Teachers to cover primary schools in Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon and the wider DE21 area from September 2026.

Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure pupils receive high-quality teaching. We welcome experienced teachers and ECTs, with flexible full-time or part-time opportunities across local schools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Recent UK primary teaching experience or UK teacher training placement.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Willingness to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• DBS clearance or willingness to apply.

About the Role

Connex Education is recruiting Supply Teachers to work across primary schools in Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon and the wider DE21 area from September 2026.

With the new academic year now only a few weeks away, we are looking to speak with teachers who are interested in flexible supply work, short-term assignments or longer-term opportunities across local primary schools.

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure pupils continue to receive high-quality teaching in the absence of their usual class teacher.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with school planning and the curriculum.

Person Specification

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school or completing a UK teacher training placement.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence teaching across different year groups and adapting to new environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, reliable approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

All roles are subject to satisfactory background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
