Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-resourced SEN school in Chelmsford to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of needs across both primary and secondary classes.

You will support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning, follow EHCP targets, assist with personal care where needed, and work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to create a calm, structured learning

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
  • Willing to support personal care where needed.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN schools in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This person will work in small groups or 1:1 with children who have a range of needs.
