Job summary

Remedy Education is helping a well-resourced SEN school in Chelmsford recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support across primary and secondary classes for students with diverse needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN (ASD/ADHD/complex needs), a calm and resilient approach, and a willingness to support personal care where needed. DBS on Update Service is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN schools in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This person will work in small groups or 1:1 with children who have a range of needs.

The Role

  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
  • Willing to support personal care where needed
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
