Job summary

Aspire People Limited are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply) for a school in Meldreth, on the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire border. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with a daily rate of £100–£115 depending on experience. Start ASAP; supply cover with potential for permanent employment.

Candidates should have an Enhanced DBS on the update service. You will support pupils with a range of needs, working with teachers and professionals to promote successful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, personalised activities.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support behaviour management in line with school policies and care plans.
• Provide support during lessons, breaks and educational activities.
• Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitor and record pupils' progress and achievements.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers and external professionals to maximise pupil support.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Supply

Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire Border

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you'll help create positive learning experiences that enable every pupil to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, personalised learning activities.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive social skills.
• Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies and individual care plans.
• Providing support during lessons, breaktimes and educational activities.
• Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitoring and recording pupils' progress and achievements.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers and external professionals to provide the best possible support for each pupil.
