Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a global FMCG manufacturer to hire an experienced Supply Chain / Production Planner in Runcorn. You will ensure production runs smoothly, manage stock, and use SAP to track orders from start to finish.

The role is fully on site with a typical Mon-Fri schedule and a generous holiday package. Key requirements include strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables), ERP experience, and clear communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supply chain, manufacturing or production admin role.
• Strong numeracy and data interpretation abilities.
• Good communication skills in written and verbal forms.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Materials team to coordinate planning.
• Manage POs for materials & consumables and reconcile invoices.
• Oversee admin of quantities required and purchased from suppliers worldwide.
• Capture and maintain order information in SAP from order to invoicing.
• Liaise daily with suppliers, operations, production, warehousing and Quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers & transport to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Maintain stock levels and lean working capital.
• Support regional and global procurement functions.

Job description

Our client is a leading global manufacturer in the FMCG sector. They are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join them on a permanent basis. As the Supply Chain / Production Planner you will ensure the production schedule runs to the optimum efficiency without any disruption, and that stock is used in efficiently. You will work closely with other departments to track products ordered and update stock within the SAP system, as well carrying out general administrative duties.

Location: Fully on site role in Runcorn

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (4.00pm finish on Fridays) - 39 hours a week

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE MAJORITY OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIRMENTS:

• You can start with relatively short notice.
• Strong computer skills (Excel (Pivot Tables) / Word / PowerPoint), and ideally SAP or similar ERP experience.
• Administration experience in a supply chain, manufacturing or production environment.
• Ideally a Diploma or similar qualification in a Business / Supply Chain related subject, however not essential.
• You are able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats with a variety of internal / external contacts.
• Good numeracy skills, with the ability to record, interpret and review data and identify insights.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Materials team
• Manage PO's for specific materials & consumables and invoice reconciliation for same
• Oversee the administration of product quantities required and purchased from suppliers across the world in line with the company purchasing policy
• Capture and accurately maintain order information using SAP, from order to invoicing
• Liaise daily with suppliers, operations & production teams, warehousing, and Quality, working towards a common production goal for customers as part of the Supply Chain Department
• Coordinate with suppliers & transport companies to ensure deliveries arrive on time
• Maintain stock levels, ensuring lean working capital at all times
• Contribute to the regional and global procurement functions
