Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a Supply Chain Administrator to join a skilled team in the UK. The role involves monitoring purchase orders, validating data, and updating ERP records to ensure accurate order management.

You will produce reports on acknowledgements, overdue items and shortages, and prioritize issues affecting production and delivery. Strong Excel/Outlook skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the supply chain, purchasing, planning, logistics or order administration.
  • Experience managing purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements, expediting activities or shortages.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems.
  • Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Good organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor open purchase orders and obtain supplier acknowledgements within agreed timescales.
  • Validate quantities, prices, part numbers and delivery dates against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Update ERP systems with confirmed delivery dates and maintaining accurate order records.
  • Produce and maintain acknowledgement, overdue order and shortage reports.
  • Prioritise shortages based on production, customer and operational impact.
  • Communicate delivery risks and recovery actions with Planning, Production and Logistics teams.
  • Support expediting activities, order amendments, cancellations and goods receipt queries.

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to add a Supply Chain Administrator to their team. This Supply Chain Administrator role offers the opportunity to join a company known for its innovative products and commitment to quality.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Effective organisation, prioritisation and communication skills
