Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees and / or contract workers in an operational area. Is directly responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, performance and engagement of the staff.
  • Assigns daily work, monitors progress, engages to resolve obstacles to ensure KPI's are met.
  • Collaborates with peers across functions to support optimised performance across the site / business
  • Intentionally engages to drive a culture of belonging, development, safety, continuous improvement and high performance
  • Models Zebra’s culture and values for the teams they lead.
  • Compiles and analyses operational data. Prepares reports for leadership that include proposals to address performance gaps in the team.
  • Evaluates performance of their team and provides coaching and feedback to support success.
  • Conducts performance appraisals and merit reviews for direct reports in alignment with Zebra’s philosophies and practices.
  • Partners with Human Resources to recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and discipline.
  • Participates or leads projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Planning and Coordination: Proven ability to efficiently organise and manage work activities, even in high-pressure environments, ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery of results.
  • Accountability and Adaptability: Consistently demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and flexibility, adept at navigating challenges and adjusting to dynamic situations to achieve goals.
  • Communication: Possesses outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence, inspire, and motivate colleagues and teams to drive positive outcomes and foster collaboration.
  • Numeracy and Language Proficiency: Skilled in numerical analysis, coupled with a strong command of both written and spoken English, enabling clear and precise communication.
  • Punctual and Reliable: Known for being exceptionally punctual and reliable, consistently meeting commitments and deadlines with integrity and professionalism.
  • IT Literate: Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to efficiently utilise these tools for document creation, data analysis, and effective communication.
