Job summary

Johnstons of Elgin in Hawick is seeking an Accessories Knitting Supervisor to oversee daily knitting operations at our Hawick mill. You will prioritise workloads, solve issues quickly, and ensure production targets are met while reporting to the Accessories Knitting Manager.

A strong eye for quality and team collaboration are essential. We look for candidates with supervisory or manufacturing experience, preferably in knitting, and good organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience or experience in manufacturing leadership roles.
• Experience in a knitting environment is preferred or relevant manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Proficiency with computer systems used in manufacturing environments.

• Prioritise workloads and solve problems to meet production schedules.
• Communicate clearly and adapt to production requirements while reporting to the Accessories Knitting Manager.

Accessory Knitting Supervisor

Location: Hawick Mill
Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 38 hours per week, Dayshift.

About the Role

Based in our Hawick knitting mill, you will:

• be able to prioritise workloads and problem solve issues efficiently working to meet targets and fulfil production schedules
• deal with issues quickly and efficiently using clear communication and flexibility to adapt to production requirements while working as part of a larger team reporting directly to the Accessories Knitting Manager
• be responsible for championing the highest quality throughout the team with a good eye for detail

About you

You will:

• be quality driven demonstrating high attention to detail
• have previous supervisory experience or manufacturing experience, preferably in a knitting environment
• be self motivated with strong organisational skills
• have the ability to supervise and work within a team
• be computer literate, with prior knowledge of manufacturing systems being advantageous
