Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is seeking a Supervisor in the housekeeping team to lead a morning or afternoon shift, train the team, and ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms and public areas. You will manage room allocation, deliver guidance, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with other departments to maintain exceptional guest experiences.

• Strong knowledge of health & safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a morning or afternoon shift on the floor, briefing and directing the team.
• Oversee hands-on housekeeping tasks, training, and role modelling.
• Manage daily room allocation and check room readiness for arrivals.
• Monitor housekeeping areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness at all times.
• Coordinate stock control and organization across blocks.
• Conduct regular quality checks and test standards on staff performance.
• Assist with training of new and existing staff.
• Attend and lead departmental briefings, communicating with other departments.
• Support cross‑department collaboration to maintain guest experience excellence.

HOUSEKEEPING

The Housekeeping team ensures every guest has an exceptional experience by maintaining impeccable cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas. With outstanding professionalism and attention to detail, they create a welcoming environment, leaving a lasting positive impression on resort visitors.

The on-target earning potential for this role is a £28,627.88 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £27,130.28 supplemented by an estimated £1,497.60 in gratuities per annum, ensuring a rewarding compensation package.

About the role

As a Supervisor in the housekeeping team, you will be required toassist the Housekeeping Management with, but not limited to, leading a morning or afternoon shift from the floor, briefing and directing the team. You will also be responsible for the following:

• Hands on approach to housekeeping – demonstrating, training, leading
• People management – persuasive, inspiring and determined. Helping all team members achieve their full potential in their role
• Monitoring and managing the Q – ensuring room readiness
• Monitoring HSK back of house areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness at all times
• Stock control and organisation across the blocks
• Standards testing of the housekeeping line staff and regular quality checks of all areas
• Assist with training of new and existing staff
• Attend and lead departmental briefings
• Communicate and work with other departments in the hotel
