Job summary

Marston's PLC in the United Kingdom seeks a Supervisor to lead our pub team. You’ll support the team to deliver everyday moments and standout occasions in a busy, varied, fast-paced but fun environment.

You will open and close, stock and cash up, and work with the management team to ensure the business runs efficiently and profitably while providing an outstanding customer experience. Progression toward an Assistant Manager role is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Experience working with pub management team to ensure the business runs efficiently and profitably.
• Opening and closing, stocking, and cashing up.
• Be a role model for customer service.
• Ability to think on the spot and use your initiative.
• Accountable for the smooth running of shifts and for managing all aspects of the pub when the wider management team is away.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience.
• Collaborate with the pub management team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
• Handle opening/closing duties, stock checks, and cashing up.
• Provide exemplary customer service and model best practices.
• Think quickly and use initiative to resolve issues as they arise.
• Oversee shift coverage and pub operations when senior staff are away.

As Supervisor you’ll:
