Job summary

TGS International Group is hiring a Site Supervisor – Connectivity to oversee installation teams on major data centre projects from London with extensive travel across Europe and the Middle East.

The role requires supervising cabling engineers, reading drawings, and ensuring quality, safety and client standards are met. You will coordinate activities, monitor progress, and maintain daily site records while liaising with clients and project managers.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cabling engineers or installation teams.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and cabling schedules.
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of copper and fibre installation, termination and testing.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and the Middle East.

Responsibilities

Site Supervisor – Connectivity | Data Centres

Location: London, UK – Significant Travel Across Europe & Middle East

Job Type: Permanent

TGS International Group is representing a specialist data centre infrastructure business delivering structured cabling, fibre and wider connectivity solutions for major hyperscale and enterprise clients across the UK and internationally.

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor – Connectivity to oversee installation teams across major data centre projects. Based from London, this role will involve significant international travel across Europe and the Middle East.

This position would suit someone who has progressed from a hands-on background in structured cabling or fibre installation into site supervision and wants to remain closely involved with project delivery.

The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating site teams and work fronts, ensuring installation quality, productivity, safety and client standards are maintained throughout each project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise structured cabling and fibre installation teams across major data centre projects.
• Coordinate daily site activities, labour allocation, work fronts and installation priorities.
• Ensure engineers and technicians understand drawings, specifications, methods and daily targets.
• Monitor productivity and progress against programme requirements, escalating potential delays at an early stage.
• Oversee the installation, termination, testing, labelling and patching of copper and fibre infrastructure.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure installations meet company, client and manufacturer standards.
• Coordinate snagging, testing and project close-out activities.
• Maintain accurate daily site records, progress reports, labour records and timesheets.
• Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available when required and report shortages promptly.
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and other trades on site.
• Identify installation issues early and support practical resolutions on site.
• Ensure RAMS and safe systems of work are followed.
• Support toolbox talks and site inductions where required.
• Maintain high standards of PPE, conduct and professional presentation across the site team.
• Support the Project Manager with progress updates, resource requirements and short-term programme planning.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background within structured cabling, fibre or data centre connectivity.
• Previous experience supervising cabling engineers, technicians or installation teams.
• Good understanding of copper and fibre installation, termination and testing.
• Ability to read construction drawings, schematics and cabling schedules.
• Experience working within data centres or other mission-critical environments is highly beneficial.
• Strong understanding of installation quality, testing requirements and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Confidence coordinating teams on busy and technically demanding sites.
• Experience monitoring productivity, quality and performance across site teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East.

International Travel & Package

This is an international role, with significant travel across Europe and the Middle East depending on project requirements.

• Overseas working hours paid at 1.5x the normal rate
• Flights and international travel provided
• Accommodation arranged and paid for by the company
• Supervisors may receive an additional discretionary paid hour per working day where expected standards are maintained, including professional presentation, correct PPE and representing the company appropriately on site.
